When COVID hit in 2020, many running enthousiasts had to shelve their plans to run big races or travel to exciting locations.
In order to celebrate the runners who kept training, Nationale Nederlander (NN), a Dutch insurance company, ran a series of advertorials in Runner’s World. The running enthousiasts shared their story and motivation, hoping to inspire fellow runners.
I spent time with three of them, while they were completing a big run. The shoots were planned throughout the Netherlands. What was interesting about this project was that while a certain level of planning and scouting was possible, I also had to work with the conditions I found on location.
